Core Leoni (guitariste Gotthard) – Mad max – Redeem

Organisé par zik-zak

CoreLeoni :
LEO LEONI guitarist and founder of GOTTHARD announce his solo project a tribute to a still very present ROCK’n ROLL past.
On the 25th anniversary of the release of the first GOTTHARD album, I wanted to pay tribute to songs like: DOWNTOWN, FIREDANCE, HIGHER, HERE COMES THE HEAT, IN THE NAME, RIDE ON, LET IT BE, ALL I CARE 4.
That with Gotthard we have left aside by rebrushing them in a respectful matter, some to me very dear, but above all to a period that will remain forever with me.

Together with:
– Ronnie Romero – vocals
– Hena Habegger – drums
– Jgor Gianola – guitar
– Mila Merker – bass
we brought to light and gave a new life to some of these masterpieces of the past.
This “CoreLeoni” project make me relive so many emotions and memories, filling my heart with joy. I hope it gives you and all the Gotthard fans especially the one of the early days, the same emotions that it brings me.
Rock ’n Roll all the way

The first single ‘Beat Of The Heart’ stands out among the eleven songs on the forthcoming album 35 for a number of reasons. On the one hand the track could be described as the 2018 successor of Mad Max’s most important hit ‘Night Of Passion’, and on the other hand the band members have made their longstanding dream come true with the video that supports the song. “For once in the history of Mad Max, we wanted to shoot a video that has the look and the cinematic quality of a real little motion picture. Thanks to the support of our sponsor Hubert Teichmann, we got that opportunity at last.”

By way of explanation: Hubert Teichmann, among other things the owner of the private “Staudenbahn” railway line near Augsburg, has been a staunch patron of the arts for a number of years – again the term “idealism” comes to mind! – and supplied the financial means that enabled Mad Max to shoot a video clip in Berlin with a number of actors, among them leading man Vinzenz Kiefer (The Baader Meinhof Complex, the action/crime drama series Alarm für Cobra 11, Jason Bourne) and director/screenwriter Oliver Betke.

REDEEM’s first single « Alive » as well as the 2nd single « Time » had high rotation on many Swiss radio stations, and slowly but surely they conquer the airplay-charts. Additionally VIVA Switzerland supports the three guys with massive video rotation. At the end of 2007 Simon Steiner joined and the band benefits from his powerful drumming. In summer 2008 the band toured across Switzerland, partly to support bands like « Gotthard », « Magnum » and « +44 ». Also they played big outdoor festivals like « Rockfest » with Alice Cooper or « Jazzfestival Montreux ». REDEEM have completed 2 high-profile international tours as a support band with Daughtry and 3 Doors Down and are quickly becoming a festival favorite, thanks to shows that reviewers have described as « electric » and « stadium-worthy ». Since the release of ELEVEN, REDEEM have been turning heads around the globe. Fans across Europe have been flocking to the band’s websites to connect with their music, leading to the largest MySpace ( and Facebook ( profiles of any Swiss band. In late 2009 they started recording their 2nd Album called « 999 ». „999“ where released in 2011.
